The Search Process


Service is tailored to the complexity of each assignment and to the degree of assistance required by the Client.

CLIENT NEED

Interview Client to define need and the critical success factors for the best fit.

Develop or review Client’s detailed position description; establish compensation parameters.

CANDIDATE DEVELOPMENT

Plan search strategy and initiate research on a local, regional and national basis. Source candidates through the extensive GSA database, personal industry and social networks, and targeted advertising venues.

Screen candidates and select those to interview comprehensively and to reference informally. Aim to present 2-3 thoroughly evaluated candidates within the first 2 weeks of launching the assignment; 4-6 within 4 weeks.

CANDIDATE SELECTION & PLACEMENT

Resumes and any supporting materials are presented to Client with a written summary highlighting both the candidate’s attributes and areas for growth.

Interviewing is scheduled and results are evaluated. Any re-evaluation of the position specifications, search strategies, or compensation parameters are conducted as needed.

Recruitment continues until an offer is made and accepted.

OFFER AND ACCEPTANCE

Formal reference check made on finalist candidate.

Compensation negotiated and offer extended.

Maintain ongoing dialogue with candidate to ensure acceptance of offer, and to monitor resignation and start of employment.

Follow up with Client.

Follow up with successful candidate.

A search is typically completed within 60-90 days.
